The FIM is pleased to announce the first FIM homologation for Light Panels: 768-G2 manufactured by Pixelcom.
Among the applications developed by the company, there are: Sport Scoreboards (soccer, tennis, karting, pelota valenciana,etc …), Dynamic information displays (industry, logistics, sports …) and software for karting and motorsports.
The 768-G2 is a grade 2 Light Panel and has successfully passed all tests of the FIM Light Panel Standard FRHPlp-01, namely minimum luminance test as well as the colour coordinates test.”

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 26 January 2021 – Infront Moto Racing is delighted to share the provisional OAT (Officially Approved Teams) list for the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship!
The provisional list gives a breakdown of all the teams that have currently entered to contest in the 2021 season of racing, along with the riders who will represent them. At present, the list features over 30 teams that will take part in the MXGP and MX2 Championships next year.
With more than 30 teams entered, a large group of the fastest riders in the world and a packed 20-round racing schedule, the 2021 MXGP season will no doubt showcase more of the best action that motocross has to offer!

Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Motul Racing ready to paint Cross Country green
Kawasaki South Africa returns to the South African National Cross Country Motorcycle Championship in 2021 following a lengthy sabbatical. Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Motul Racing will enter a full nine-machine team in this year’s championship.
“We are proud to confirm that Kawasaki Motorcycles South Africa is returning to the National Cross Country Motorcycle Championship from 2021 with Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Motul Racing,” team principal Iain Pepper confirmed. “We would like to extend a huge word of thanks to Chris and Kibble from KMSA for putting their faith in us to bring the Kawasaki brand back to the startline following a long sabbatical from the sport.
“We are also pleased to have Motul on board as a major sponsor, along with great support from Bikewise with Pirelli, Arai helmets, Renthal, Acerbis, DID chains and SBS brakes. “Our riders will be protected by the best kit from Fasthouse SA and the Margie Smith training facility will keep the team fit, sharp and strong.
“Pepson Plastics Kawasaki Motul Racing will compete across the various SA National Cross Country classes with promising pair Dartagnan Lobjoit and Craig Alcock racing in the open class OR1 on the all-new KX450XC. The experienced Taki Bogiages and Kyle MacKenzie will be the men in green in competitive OR3 aboard two KX250XCs, while Lee Thompson is our man in the Senior class. I will represent the team in Masters.
“We also have a competitive Junior line-up with Jake Pretorius and Clayton Human in 85cc and Dylan Human in the 65cc class.”
The reborn Green Team will be racing Kawasaki’s brand new built for cross country 2021 KX250XC and KX450XCs based on its ’21 KX motocross machines. Both benefit specific XC tuned electric start engines with MotoGP derived finger follower valve technology and plug-and-play engine mapping for precision tuning via the KX FI Calibration kit.
Five-speed XC models get cross-country gearing for their close-ratio gearbox, a light and direct feel hydraulic clutch and traction control. XC-tuned Showa suspension on the 450 and KYB forks on the 250 is cross country ready, as are larger diameter brakes and optimised wheels with an 18″ rear and cross country tyres. The XCs carry over the narrow KX frame with adjustable handlebar and foot peg positions, minimalistic bodywork and add a side stand and skid plates.
Kawasaki has a rich history of Cross Country Racing success in South Africa with legends the likes of Alfie Cox, Neil Woolridge, Chris Brand and others riding the green machines to great effect over the years. “Now Kawasaki is back and the Pepson Plastics Motul Racing team is ready to paint the South African National Cross Country Championship green,” Pepper concluded. “Let’s go racing!”

The FIM Endurance World Championship’s broadcast reach and viewing audience once again increased during the 2019-2020 FIM EWC season despite a disrupted calendar due to the global pandemic.
Live broadcast of races around the world, expanded coverage with more channels, an increase in both air time and audiences, and a sharp rise in viewership of our digital media communication and social channels all contributed to this markedly positive trend.
The 2019-2020 FIM Endurance World Championship expanded its broadcast distribution to 209 countries around the world, with more channels covering the event. Coverage of the FIM EWC is now provided by 20 international broadcasters, including 7 new additions this season (MAVTV Motorsports Network and Claro Sports on the American continent, Servus TV and AM Baltics in Europe and True Sport, Channel Max and TVRI in Asia).
To satisfy fans around the world, 8 of these 20 broadcasters provided live coverage on every continent.
Despite a calendar shortened to four races instead of five due to the global health crisis, broadcast time increased by 14% as a result of the expanded distribution, and the viewing audience rose by 4%, to more than 158,700,000 (source: Nielsen Sports).
Digital viewership is also on the rise. The reach of our digital communication nearly tripled over the 2019-2020 season. Two Asian nations were among the ten countries with the biggest digital media coverage. France, the UK and Japan were the top three in terms of digital media viewership (source: Melwater).
The fan base on our social media practically doubled this season. We saw a steady increase, in particular, in views on our videos (20.6 million across our social channels), with high quality videos produced each season.
The EWC 360 Fan Tour by Tag Heuer platform launched in collaboration with the ACO for the 2020 24 Heures Motos was a smash hit. This unique, interactive and fully immersive experience placed fans at the heart of the race action and enabled them to go behind the scenes with the teams. A dedicated team produced no fewer than 18 360° videos during the week of the race. The street view-style pit lane tour got the most views, ahead of an on-board tour and a night-time pit stop.
In view of this very positive recap, the teams at Eurosport Events are already hard at work to make the 2021 FIM EWC season even more exciting and innovative for fans around the world.

2021 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship provisional calendar update
Two races in Qatar and one in Portimão will now open the season, with the Argentina and Americas GPs postponed
The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports can now reveal an updated calendar for the 2021 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship as the beginning of another exciting season of racing appears on the horizon, with testing action set to get underway in just over a month.
The season opening Grand Prix in Qatar remains confirmed for the 26th to the 28th of March and it will now be followed by a second event, the Grand Prix of Doha, at the same Losail International Circuit the following weekend, from the 2nd to the 4th of April.
The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal will then host the third round of the Championship from the 16th to the 18th of April before the paddock heads to the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto as previously planned.
The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns and complications sadly oblige the postponement of both the Argentina GP and the Americas GP until the last quarter of 2021. Any further updates or changes will be provided as soon as available.
