As the countdown to the 2026 FIM Intercontinental Games continues, we meet the man who will lead the FIM Africa Motocross Team in Brazil.

Tsirava Razafimahefa, known as Tsitsi, brings extensive experience to the team. A six-time champion of Madagascar, Tsitsi has also served as President of his national federation.

His involvement in motorcycle racing has been driven by a lasting passion for the sport.

“Motorcycle is the best therapy in the earth.”

When Tsitsi found out that he had been selected to represent FIM Africa at the Intercontinental Games, his reaction was one of happiness and pride.

“Very happy and very proud.”

For Tsitsi, representing Africa is about bringing together countries and cultures from across the continent and giving them a common goal.

“Representing Africa is bringing several countries with different cultures to one goal.”

That sense of unity will be particularly important in Brazil, where motocross will make its debut at the FIM Intercontinental Games. The FIM Africa MX2 team will bring together riders from South Africa, Uganda and Zambia, competing as one team in the first motocross competition at the Games.

Looking ahead to Brazil, Tsitsi is focused on giving his best while building friendship and respect with the other Continental Unions.

“Giving the best even if we know that it will not be easy, build friendship and respect with the other continent.”

With his experience as a six-time national champion and former federation president, Tsitsi now takes on the responsibility of guiding FIM Africa’s first-ever motocross team at the Intercontinental Games.

For him, the opportunity is about more than one event. It is about bringing African riders together, representing their countries and cultures, and building connections through motorcycle sport.
