HUSQVARNA RACING TEES UP FOR TITANIC TITLE TUSSLE AT VIRGINIA TRAILS

NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY – ROUND 6 – VIRGINIA TRAILS

The final round of the National Cross County Championship is set to see a titanic title tussle as the season comes to a close at Virginia Trails in KZN this weekend. Husqvarna Racing is sitting pretty eyeing the title for Brett Swanepoel in the OR2 class as well as having high hopes to clinch the overall again.

Swanepoel who took the overall laurels at the previous round said: “We are in a good position going into the last national Cross country this weekend leading the overall championship as well as the OR2 class and I will do what I do best and end the year strong”.

Davin Cocker is making his comeback after missing most of the season due to injury. “I’m excited to be back racing, Saturday will be the first cross country since I had my op and I’m feeling 100% and ready to get back racing,” he said. “Virginia trails is always a good track and the competition will be tough but I will give it my best and just enjoy the last national for this year” he added.

Husqvarna South Africa’s Grant Frerichs said championship glory is the main goal this weekend. He went on to say: “Brett looks to wrap up his class championship as well as the overall while all eyes will be on Davin as he mounts his comeback looking to prove why he is the defending OR3 champion.”
