🏆 JONATHAN KATENDE DOMINATES J1 ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏁

The 2024 Uganda National Enduro Championship is heating up, with just two rounds left to go! Uganda’s standout rider in the 65cc racing category, Jonathan Katende, has showcased his skill, leading the J1 class at the recent race in Kyotera.

Meanwhile, Yasin Ssemakula remains on track for a maiden title after securing his third consecutive race win, placing him at the top of the overall leaderboard with 60 points. Close behind, Jason Burrows is in second place with 36 points.

Jonathan Katende now leads the J1 class with 40 points from two victories, after missing the first round due to a minor injury. The 10-year-old is on a path to multiple title celebrations this year, including wins in the Enduro Championship, Motocross racing, and the MX65 category in Kenya, where he currently holds a 214-point lead over local favorite Kigen Mutuma.

Chasing Katende in the J1 category are Adam Kabuye (32 points) and Filbert Muwonge (30 points), son of two-time National Rally Champion Suzan Muwonge.

Uganda’s future looks bright, with a new generation of racers, including talented young girls like Abigail Katende, Jamairah Makumbi, Joy Noran Akao, and Faith Angel Deedan, who are making their mark in a fiercely competitive field.
