Tavullia, Italy – Have a sneak peek inside Valentino Rossi’s private Ranch training ground in Italy. Rossi explains why training on dirt helps you improve on asphalt.
“It’s more difficult to organize training on the track,” said Rossi. “Sometimes we go to Misano, other times Mugello but we can’t do it every week. The ranch was created from an oval, then we made another one, and finally, the rest of the track, which looks like a TT, with fast corners and hairpins.”
“We needed a place to improve our skills in controlling the bike when it starts to skid,” explained Rossi. “You have to move on the seat to find some grip. You also need this when riding on asphalt.”
