Slade is Champion 2021!

Slade van Niekerk (Project Sixty60 Kawasaki ER650), Jason Linekar (RST Kawasaki Ninja 650) and Zante Otto (Missile Motorcycles Kawasaki ER6) provided some of the best racing on the day with a thrilling three way tussle in extremely tricky conditions to finish less than five seconds apart in heat one with David Lindemann (GM Contractors Suzuki SV650) fourth, Lance Jonas fifth and Nicholas Hutchings (HSC Racing KTM RC390) sixth. The PSP 300 category another thrilling dual that saw Hutchings cross the line only 0.006sec clear of Tristan Pienaar (KTM RC390).
The top three a little more spread out in heat two with David Lindemann and Lance Jonas fourth and fifth. Trevor Westman (Roxstar Performance Kawasaki Ninja 650) sixth on this occasion. Tristan Pienaar getting the upper hand in PSP300 with Nicholas Hutchings second.


Overall the PSP 650 order was Slade van Niekerk, Jason Linekar, Zante Otto, David Lindemann, Lance Jonas (BMW Accident Repair) and Rob de Vos (MSA Kawasaki ER650). In the PSP300 category the overall order was Tristan Pienaar, Nicholas Hutchings, Mitch Robinson (The Mag Workshop Kawasaki Ninja 400), Braddon Hutchings (HSC Racing KTM RC390), Peter Hill (Hillbilly Racing KTM RC390) and Sean Kleyn (HSC Racing KTM RC390). Slade van Niekerk securing the Western Province 600cc championship for the season.


The category also enjoyed a one hour endurance race as part of the days itinerary and it would be Rob de Vos and Wayne Arendse (Kawaski ER650) that would prove to be the top combination, completing 42 laps aboard their …… Slade and Willy van Niekerk (Project Sixty60) looked the likely winners but though they set the fastest time of 1min21.125 their machine cried enough and they were forced to withdraw after 26 laps.


Tristan Pienaar (rode solo and claimed second spot with David Lindemann taking third. Trevor and Alan Westman slotting into fourth with Jason Linekar and Adrian Solomon (RST Kawasaki Ninja 300) fifth and Peter Hill – Lubas Ntisana (KTM R6) sixth.
