Please find enclosed the Press Release / FIM MXGP/MX2/ Women’s Motocross World Championships 2020 Calendar UPDATE 12 JUNE.

MXGP of China Cancelled
FIM and Infront Moto Racing regret to announce that the 2020 MXGP of China has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The much-anticipated Chinese Grand Prix will however make a return to the MXGP racing calendar next season, with the Chinese Federation and H&H Sports Protection Group LTD committed to hosting fantastic events from 2021 onwards.

Additionally, the MXGP of Russia will also be moved from 2nd August to a later date in October / November, with the confirmed scheduling of this event to be announced at a later date based on the evolution of the pandemic and the associated and updated travel conditions that may apply at this time.

Infront Moto Racing, along with the FIM and the FIM Europe, is working closely with the local governments, national federations and the local organisers on a daily basis to have a final calendar in the coming weeks to continue the much awaited 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship.

Infront Moto Racing’s goal is to hold between 10-12 events, these are set to take place in Europe between the middle of August and the end of October, including the best off road event of the year, the Monster Energy FIM Motocross World Championship, which will be held in Ernée, France on 26th / 27th September. Then the plan is to schedule further events between November and the beginning of December, again following the evolution of the pandemic, to allow the 2020 MXGP Calendar to feature the longer distance stops including selected overseas events.

The European rounds of the MXGP/MX2 World Championships and the European Championships will be announced by the end of June. We thank all parties for your continued patience and we look forward to making a return to racing at the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship very soon.
